बहुत बार हम या हमारे friends या relatives किसी कठिन परिस्थिति में पड़ जाते हैं या ऐसी परिस्थितियों को स्वयं बुलाते हैं। हम कुछ idioms का प्रयॊग कर उन situations को थोड़ा decorative भाषा में बोल सकते हैं। ऐसे ही कुछ idioms हैं - Play with Fire - Take part in a dangerous undertaking (आग से खेलना)

Skate on Thin Ice - to be in a risky situation (खतरनाक परिस्थिति में होना)

On Dangerous Ground - to do something that is likely to cause a problem or upset some people (खतरनाक स्थिति जिससे कोई तकलीफ हो या कोई परेशान हो)

Sail Close to the Wind - to take risks (जोखिम उठाना/ लगभग हवा के प्रतिकुल चलना)

Risky (adjective) जोखिम भरा/ खतरनाक It would be risky to invest all your money in the project. (परियोजना में अपने सारे पैसे निवेश करना जोखिम भरा होगा।)
