नवम्बर आधुनिक ग्रेगोरियन कैलेंडर और अपने पूर्ववर्ती, जूलियन कैलेंडर में साल का ग्यारहवां महीना है। नवम्बर मूल रोमन कैलेंडर में नौवां महीना था और इसमें 30 दिन होते थे। लैटिन में novem का अर्थ "नौ" होता है। 700 ईसा पूर्व के आसपास जब राजा Numa Pompilius ने कैलेंडर में सुधार किया और January और February महीनों को add किया तब यह साल का ग्यारहवां महीना बना। जूलियन कैलेंडर सुधार के दौरान, इसमें पुनः एक दिन जोड़ कर 30 दिन का बनाया गया। यह उत्तरी गोलार्द्ध में मई के मौसम के बराबर है।

“That” सामान्यतः “want” के बाद प्रयॊग नहीं होता। I का प्रयॊग subject में होता है, पर यहाँ object के रूप में इसका प्रयॊग गलत है। इसकी जगह me का प्रयॊग होगा।The correct sentence is: “Do you want me to make breakfast?”

I'm thinking to buy a new car.

“To + infinitive” का प्रयॊग “think” के बाद नहीं होता। So the correct sentence would be: “I’m thinking of buying a new car” या “I’m thinking about buying a new car.”

They enjoyed the football game despite of the rain.

“Despite” और “in spite of” का अर्थ एक ही है।“despite” के बाद “of” का प्रयॊग नहीं होता। The correct sentence would be “They enjoyed the football game despite the rain” या “They enjoyed the football game in spite of the rain.”

My five years old daughter loves to dance.

जब age “is” के बाद आता है तब हम “years old” का प्रयॊग करते हैं जैसे - My daughter is five years old. पर अगर age एक adjective की तरह प्रयॊग हो (comes before the person (or object) as an adjective), तब हम years की जगह year का प्रयॊग करते हैं जैसे - My five-year-old daughter loves to dance.

Our house is near to the hospital.

“Near” और “close to” का अर्थ समान है। परन्तु “near” के बाद “to” नहीं आता। The correct sentence is “Our house is near the hospital” या “Our house is close to the hospital.”

दोनों ही शब्दों का उच्चारण "करन्ट" होता है परन्तु इनकी spelling और अर्थ अलग अलग होते हैं।

A current is also a steady flowing movement of air, or a flow of electricity through a wire or circuit (जल-प्रवाह/  विद्युत प्रवाह/  प्रवाह)

The swimmer was swept away by the current.  (तैराक जल-प्रवाह में बह गया था।)

There was a powerful electric current running through the wires. (एक शक्तिशाली विद्युत प्रवाह तारों के माध्यम से चल रहा था।)
