Common verbs that can only be followed by the “-ing form”, not the “to infinitive”
Admit: They admitted changing the schedule. (उन्होंने कार्यक्रम बदलने में बात मानी।)
[Wrong: to change]
Advise : The police advises moving forward with caution. (पुलिस सावधानी के साथ आगे बढ़ने की सलाह देती हैं।)
[Wrong: to move]
Appreciate: She finally appreciated having a lovely family. (अंत में उसने एक सुंदर परिवार होने की सराहना की।)
[Wrong: to have]
Avoid: She avoided looking me in the eye. (वह मेरी आँखों में दिखने से बचा रही थी।)
[Wrong: to look]
Consider (think about): I considered staying out of this matter. (मैंने इस मामले से बाहर रहने का विचार किया।)
[Wrong: to stay]
Deny: They denied knowing about his secret. (उन्होंने उसके रहस्य के बारे में जानने से इनकार किया।)
[Wrong: to know]
Delay: I delayed doing any rectification. (मैंने कोई भी संशोधन करने में देरी की।)
[Wrong: to do]
Dislike: I dislike watching horror movies at night. (मुझे रात में हॉरर फिल्में देखना नापसंद है।)
