तो present perfect tense का use करना चाहिए जैसे -
It has taken six years to find the cure of AIDS.
एड्स का इलाज खोजने में छह साल लग गए हैं।
पर जब हमें How long something has been happening (कब से कुछ हो रहा है)
यह बताना है तो present perfect progressive tense का use करना चाहिए जैसे -
They have been observing this virus for two months.
वे दो महीने से इस वायरस की समीक्षा रहे हैं।
