Different between Covet, Covert and Overt


Covet (Verb) - yearn to possess or have (something)
She always coveted power but never quite achieved it.
He won the prize they all coveted.

Covert (adjective) - concealed; secret; disguised.
The government was accused of covert military operations against the regime.
Police have been monitoring the site and using covert surveillance to trap the troublemakers.

Overt (adjective) - प्रत्यक्ष - ​open to view or knowledge; not concealed or secret.
He shows no overt signs of his unhappiness.
Your dog must not display any overt signs of aggression.
