Transitive Verb वह verb है जिससे किसी हरकत का ब्योरा मिलता है।
इस श्रेणी में वह क्रिया आते हैं जो एक संज्ञा के द्वारा दूसरे पर किये गये कार्य को दर्शाता है।
दूसरे शब्दों में -
I am eating a fruit.
मैं एक फल खा रहा हूं।
What are you eating?- Fruit जो की verb का object है।
This the object that the transitive verb, खा रही है (to eat) is using.
