MAN / WOMAN FOR ALL SEASONS
Meaning: A man or a woman who is successful and talented in many areas.(एक ऐसा पुरुष या महिला जो कई क्षेत्रों में सफल और प्रतिभावान हो।)
• Whether it is the responsibility of the house or the office, Nancy is a woman for all seasons.(चाहे घर की ज़िम्मेदारी हो या ऑफ़िस की, Nancy अपने हर काम में निपुण है।)
• He is a talented writer, director, and actor; he’s truly a man for all seasons. (वह एक प्रतिभाशाली लेखक, निर्देशक और अभिनेता हैं; वह सच में सभी कामों में माहिर आदमी है।)
IN GOOD SEASON
Meaning: When something takes place at the right or proper time.(किसी कार्य का सही/उचित समय पर होना।)
• I’ll inform you about my decision in good season only. (मै सही समय आने पर ही आपको अपने निर्णय के बारे में सूचित करूंगा।)
THE SILLY SEASON
Meaning: It’s a British phrase for the period when newspapers (and other media) often broadcast trivial material because of a lack of more important news.(एक ऐसी अवधि जिसमे अखबार और अन्य मीडिया, अक्सर महत्वपूर्ण खबरों की कमी होने के कारण तुच्छ सामग्री को प्रसारित करते हैं।)
• You know that the silly season has begun when it is hard to find a decent news in the papers. (जब रोज़ाना अखबारों में काम की खबरें मिलना बंद हो जाएं, तब आपको पता चल जाता है कि silly season शुरू हो चुका है।)
OPEN SEASON (on somebody)
Meaning: a period of time when people criticise or unfairly treat a particular person or group of people(समय की वह अवधि जब लोग किसी विशेष व्यक्ति या समूह की आलोचना करते हैं या उनके प्रति गलत तरीके से व्यवहार करते हैं।)
• I feel that the politicians consider the elections period as an open season on the opposition leaders. (मुझे लगता है कि सभी राजनेता चुनाव का दौर केवल विपक्षी दल के नेताओं की आलोचना व निंदा करने का समय है।)
