ऐसे शब्द जो संज्ञा के मात्रा के बारे मे जानकारी दे, उसे Adjective of Quantity कहते हैं।
इस तरह के शब्द समान्यतः “how much?” (कितने) का answer देते हैं।
Adjective of quantity का उपयोग "कितने" प्रश्न के उस उत्तर में होता है जहाँ गिनती नहीं की जा सकती।
जैसे -

I can’t believe I ate that whole cake!
(मैं विश्वास नहीं कर सकती कि मैंने पूरा केक खाया!)
(How much cake - whole)

I took some notebooks.
(मैंने कुछ नोटबुक्स ली।)
(How many notebooks - some)

We spent a few rupees for watching cinema.
(हमने कुछ रुपये सिनेमा देखने में खर्च किये।)
(How many rupees - few)

Frequently, often और regularly यह बता रहे हैं कि कार्य कितनी बार हो रहा है।
ऐसे शब्द या adverbs जो ये बताये कि कितनी बार काम किया गया है, उन्हें adverb of frequency कहते हैं।
ऐसे adverbs "how often?/ how frequently?" का उत्तर देते हैं। Example-

My grandparents visit us frequently.
(मेरे दादा-दादी अक्सर हमसे मिलने आते हैं।)
I go to the park often.
(मैं अक्सर पार्क में जाता हूं।)
She practices the violin regularly.
(वह नियमित रूप से वायलिन का अभ्यास करती है।)

1. भूतकाल की उस क्रिया को बताने के लिए जो बीच में रोक दी गयी हो।
I was watching TV when she called.

2. भूतकाल की ऐसी क्रियाओं को व्यक्त करने में जो एक निश्चित समय पर बाधित हुई हो,
इसका यह अर्थ नहीं है कि कार्य रुक गया हो, बस एक समय में दुबारा शुरू हो गयी हो।
Last night at 6 PM, I was eating dinner.

 3. उन कार्यों को बताने के लिए जो भूतकाल में एक समय पर ही हो रही हो।
I was studying while he was making dinner.

4. भूतकाल में हो रही लगातार घटनाओं को, जो एक नकारात्मक भाव उत्पन्न करती है,
ऐसे कार्यों को व्यक्त करने के लिए Past Continuous Tense
She was always taking all the chocolates.

 Relative pronoun से पहले आने वाले nouns/pronouns के अनुसार verb का प्रयोग होगा। 

She is one of the noblest women that have ever lived on this earth.
(women के अनुसार verb का प्रयोग किया गया है क्योंकि यह that - relative pronoun के पास है।)

This is the book which was missing.
It is I who am helping them.
Shakespeare was one of the greatest dramatists that have ever lived.

Each, every, everyone, someone, somebody, nobody, none, one, any, many a, more than one (Indefinite pronouns), इनके साथ singular verb, singular noun, singular adjective, singular pronoun का प्रयोग होता है।

Each student has come.
Everyone is selfish.
No smoking or drinking is allowed.
Every man and woman is required to check-in.
One must tolerate one’s friend as well as one’s enemy.
More than one man was present there.
