FOR का प्रयोग अनिश्चित समय यानि समय की अवधि के साथ होता है
जब भी कभी वाक्य में रहा, रही, रहे का प्रयोग भी हो।
जैसे -
I’ve been waiting for three hours.
(मैं तीन घंटे से इंतज़ार कर रहा हूँ।)
We’ve lived here for four years.
(हम यहाँ चार साल से रह रहे हैं।)

के लिए (For any purpose) – 
He goes for a walk. (वह टहलने जाता है।)
He came to me for money. (वह मेरे पास पैसे के लिए आया था।)

वस्तुओं की कीमत बताने के लिए, की ओर दिशा बताने के लिए, के पक्ष में बताने के लिए
I gave a mobile for Rs. 5000. (मैंने 5000 रु में मोबाईल दिया।)
He bought a pen for Rs. 5. (उसने 5 रु में एक पैन खरीदा।)

Positive degree - किसी एक व्यक्ति या वस्तु का गुण या विशेषता बताता है।
जैसे -
Radha is intelligent and wise.
India is a big country.
इन वाक्यों में केवल एक ही noun के बारे में बात की गयी हैं इसलिए
इसमें adjective की साधारण form का प्रयोग किया गया हैं। 

Comparative degree - जब किसी दो व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं में तुलना करनी हो।
Comparative form के अंत में [ er ] लगाते हैं।
Hari is older than Ravi.
The Kashmir valley is more beautiful than Himachal.

यहाँ दो व्यक्तियों या दो जगहों के बीच तुलना की जा रही है।
ध्यान रहे तुलना करने के लिए हम वाक्य में than का प्रयोग करते हैं।

यदि दो subject को neither....... nor, either.......or,
not only..... but also, nor, or, या none-but से जोड़ा जाए तो
verb नजदीक वाले subject के अनुसार प्रयोग होना चाहिये।

1. Neither Ram nor Shyam has come.
2. Either Ram or his friends have come.
3. Either July or August is a good time for the water ski tournament.
4. Neither the Mastercraft nor the Nautique has a first-aid kit on board.

Astounding- चकित करनेवाला
आपकी योजना के कारण, बिक्री में 20% की आश्चर्यजनक वृद्धि हुई।
Because of your idea, there was an astounding 20% increase in sales.

Spectacular- बहुत शानदार
यह एक शानदार फिल्म है।
This is a spectacular film.

Magnificent- प्रभावशाली रूप से सुंदर, विस्तृत, या असाधारण
साइबर सिटी एक शानदार इमारत है।
Cyber city is a magnificent building.
