Abstract noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा)

Abstract noun वो होते हैं जिन्हें हम छू या देख नहीं सकते, सिर्फ महसूस कर सकते हैं। (A noun denoting an idea, quality, or state rather than a concrete object is called an abstract noun.) जैसे -

Honesty - ईमानदारी
Love - प्यार 
Hate - घृणा
Theft - चोरी

Collective noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा )

जो शब्द पूरे समूह का दर्शाये, उसे Collective noun कहते हैं। (The name of a group of persons, places, animals or things is called a collective noun. ) जैसे -

A fleet of ships - जहाज़ों का बेडा समुद्र तट पर पहुँच गया।
A gang of dacoits - डकैतों का गिरोह
A bunch of grapes - अंगूरों का गुच्छा 
A team of players - खिलाड़ियों का समूह
