Use of word ‘PARTNER’ as a noun and as a verb


Partner

(noun)

a person who takes part in an undertaking with another or others, especially in a business or firm with shared risks and profits (भागीदार/ सहयोगी)

The two companies are partners in a contract to build the new factory. (दो कंपनियां नए कारखाने के निर्माण के लिए एक अनुबंध में भागीदार हैं।)

the person you are married to or living with as if married to them, or the person you are having a sexual relationship with (पति/ पत्नी)

I've invited Anuj and his partner over for dinner. (मैंने अनुज और उनके पार्टनर को रात के खाने के लिए आमंत्रित किया है।)

either of two people dancing together or playing a game or sport on the same side (सहनर्तकी/ जोड़ीदार/ पार्टनर)

Arrange the children in pairs so that each person has a partner. (बच्चों को जोड़े में व्यवस्थित करें ताकि प्रत्येक व्यक्ति का जोड़ीदार हो।)

(verb)

to act as someone's partner in a sport, game, dance, or activity, or to choose someone to do this (साथी बनना)

Harsh partnered with Lisa during a dance class and they fell in love. (हर्ष लिसा के साथ एक डांस क्लास के दौरान साथी बना और वे प्यार में पड़ गए।)

to join with another person or organization in a business activity (सहयोगी होना)
