compliment - प्रशंसा करना/ अभिनंदन/ बधाई देना

A compliment is an expression of praise. यदि आप किसी को compliment दे रहे हैं तो इसका अर्थ है कि आप उनकी किसी चीज़ के लिए प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं या उनकी सराहना कर रहे हैं। जैसे -

The airline thanked the passengers for their help and complimented the captain on his initiative. (एयरलाइन ने यात्रियों को उनकी मदद करने के लिए धन्यवाद दिया और कप्तान को उसकी पहल पर बधाई दी।)

I must compliment all of our employees for their support this year. (मुझे हमारे सभी कर्मचारियों को इस वर्ष उनके समर्थन के लिए बधाई देना चाहिए।)

Passers-by complimented him on his handiwork. (राहगीरों ने उसके हस्तशिल्प पर उसकी प्रशंसा की।)

complement -  समपूरक (noun)/ पूर्ण कर देना (verb)

A complement enhances something else or goes well with it. complement का अर्थ है कि एक वस्तु दूसरे को साथ मिल कर कुछ बेहतर बनाते हैं जिससे वे दोनों ही और अच्छे लगे। complement किसी वस्तु या व्यक्ति के गुणों में वृद्धि करती है।  

This new service is intended to complement existing facilities. (यह नई सेवा मौजूदा सुविधाओं को पूरा करने के इरादे से है।)

The colors in the pillows complemented the stripes in the sofa very well. (तकिए के रंग सोफे की धारियों  बहुत अच्छी तरह से पूरा कर रहे थे।)

India नाम Indus से लिया गया है जो पुराने फारसी शब्द Hinduš से अवतरित है। Hinduš शब्द संस्कृत शब्द "सिंधु" (Sindhu) से लिया गया है, जो एक ऐतिहासिक नदी सिंधु का नाम है। प्राचीन काल में ग्रीक्स भारतीयों को Indoi बुलाते थे जिसका अर्थ "सिंधु के लोग" (the people of the Indus) होता है।

इन्कार करना (to reject)/ अस्वीकार करना (decline to accept)

He asked me to give him another loan, but I refused. (उसने मुझसे उसे एक और ऋण देने के लिए कहा, लेकिन मैंने इन्कार कर दिया।)

He's in trouble but he's refused all help. (वह मुसीबत में है लेकिन उसने सभी की मदद अस्वीकार कर दी।)

The management reserve the right to refuse entrance. (प्रबंधन प्रवेश से इंकार करने का अधिकार सुरक्षित रखते हैं।)

As a noun-

कचरा/ जूठा (unwanted waste material, especially material that is regularly thrown away from a house, factory, etc)

People sometimes throw their refuse in the streets. (लोग कभी कभी सड़कों पर अपना कूड़ा फेंक देते हैं।)

Refuse is collected on every Sunday. (कचरा हर रविवार को एकत्र किया जाता है।)

Domestic refuse can be burnt to produce electricity. (घरेलू कचरा बिजली का उत्पादन करने के लिए जलाया जा सकता है।)
