sweltering - तपता हुआ (extremely hot and uncomfortable)

warm - थोड़ा गरम (a little hot)

a heat wave - गरम हवायें (a period of extremely hot weather)

a sizzler - बहुत ही गरम दिन (a very hot day)

scorching - चिलचिलाता हुआ/ झुलसाने वाला (extremely hot)

जब हम गर्मी के दिनों में घर से बाहर जाते हैं तो इन instructions को follow करते हैं-

Rub some sunscreen on our skin or else it will burn. (त्वचा पर कुछ सनस्क्रीन लगाओ वरना यह जल जाएगी।)

Cover up yourself properly else your skin will become tan. (अपने आप को अच्छी तरह से ढकें वरना यह धूप से झुलस जाएगी।)

Stay out of the sun; move into the shade. (धूप से दूर रहें; छाया में चले जाएं।)

Drink a lot of water before going out. (बाहर जाने से पहले बहुत सारा पानी पीएं।)

It’s scorching weather! (यह जलानेवाला मौसम है!)

I’m boiling! (मैं उबल रहा हूँ!)

This room is like an oven today! (यह कमरा आज एक ओवन की तरह है!)

कुछ वाक्य जो गर्मी की भीषणता को व्यक्त करते हैं पर ये सिर्फ एक अतिशयोक्ति (Hyperbole में कथन को बढ़ा-चड़ा कर जोरदार बना देते हैं) होते हैं। जैसे -

It’s so hot you can fry an egg on the stone! (इतनी ज्यादा गर्मी है कि आप पत्थर पर अंडे भून सकते हैं!)

The sun is splitting the stones! (सूरज की किरणें इतनी तेज़ हैं कि पत्थर को भी तोड़ दें।)
