Stand against -  किसी के विरुद्ध खड़े होना (to oppose someone or something, especially in a brave or determined way)

We must stand against the evil forces that are threatening our country. (हमें बुरी ताकतों के सामने खड़े होना चाहिए जों हमारे देश के लिए खतरा है।)

Stand aside - एक किनारे खड़ा होना (take no action to prevent, or not involve oneself in, something that is happening)

She stood aside and did not try to come between them. वह एक किनारे खड़ी हो गई और उनके बीच आने की कोशिश नहीं की।

Stand with [someone or something] - समर्थन करना (support someone or something)

Don't worry. I'll stand with you to the end. (तुम घबराओ नहीं। मैं तुम्हारे साथ अंत तक खड़ा रहूंगा।)

Make someone's hair stand on end - रौंगटे खड़े कर देना (alarm or horrify someone)

Any kind of siren makes my hair stand on end. (किसी भी तरह का सायरन मेरे रोंगटे खड़े कर देता है।)

Not have a leg to stand on - कथन का समर्थन न कर पाना (have no facts or sound reasons to support one's argument or justify one's actions)

My lawyer said I didn't have a leg to stand on, so I shouldn't sue the company. (मेरे वकील ने कहा कि मेरे पास मेरे कथन का समर्थन करने के लिए तथ्य नहीं हैं, इसलिए मुझे कंपनी पर मुकदमा नहीं करना चाहिए।)
