A FRIEND IN/AT COURT
Meaning: Friend in/at court ऐसे दोस्त या जानकार को कहा जाता है जो अपने महत्वपूर्ण ओहदे के आधार पर आपकी कुछ particular परिस्थितियों में सहायता कर सकें।
Also known as ‘friend in high places‘, this phrase generally refers to your friends with influential positions in the society or in certain official bodies.
आपने अक्सर सुना होगा की किसी ने प्रभावशाली लोगों से जान पहचान या मित्रता का अपने मतलब के लिए या अपना काम निकालने के लिए फायदा उठाया। इन प्रभावशाली मित्रों को, जिनकी position का फायदा आपको मिले, उन्हें ‘friends in court’ कहा जाता है।
Uses:
• Sam won't face much trouble getting a job, his father has many friends in court. (Sam को नौकरी पाने में ज़्यादा परेशानी नहीं होगी, उसके पिता की कई प्रभावशाली लोगों से अच्छी जान पहचान है।)
• If you have a friend in court, there is a good possibility of getting the contract. (यदि आपकी मित्रता किसी प्रभावशाली व्यक्ति से है तो कॉन्ट्रैक्ट आपको मिलने की अच्छी संभावना है।)

DELECTABLE (डिलैकटबल)
A better way of saying that the food is delicious (स्वादिष्ट व मनपसंद खाना)
