‘Looking forward to’ एक बहुत ही आम तौर पर प्रयोग होने वाला phrasal verb है और यहबहुत ही आम तौर पर गलत प्रयोग किये जाने वाला phrasal verb भी है।
इसका प्रयोग किसी प्रकार की उम्मीद, पहले से plan किये गए किसी कार्य की उत्सुकता या ख़ुशी से प्रतीक्षा करने जैसे भावों को दर्शाने के लिए किया जाता है।

• I’m looking forward to see you soon.
• I’m looking forward to seeing you soon.
(मैं आपसे जल्द ही मिलने की आशा/ प्रतीक्षा कर रहा हूँ।)

Same is the case with these phrasal verbs: KEEP ON and CARRY ON
इन दोनों का ही अर्थ है किसी काम को करते रहना/ जारी रखना 

• I told her to be quiet but she kept on to talk.
• I told her to be quiet but she kept on talking.
(मैंने उसे चुप रहने के लिए कहा लेकिन उसने बात करना जारी रखा।)

• It was raining heavily but they carried on to play the match.
• It was raining heavily but they carried on playing the match.
(भारी बारिश हो रही थी लेकिन उन्होंने मैच खेलना जारी रखा।)

Another example:
• His apology cannot make up for to ruin my painting.
• His apology cannot make up for ruining my painting.
(उनकी माफी मेरी पेंटिंग को बर्बाद करने की क्षतिपूर्ति नहीं कर सकती।)

Irritable का अर्थ होता है स्वभाव से चिड़चिड़ा।
Let’s learn a few synonyms i.e. other words (adjectives) to describe an irritable personality.

IRASCIBLE (इरैसिबल)
• As she is growing up, she's becoming more irascible. (जैसे जैसे वह बड़ी हो रही है, वह और ज़्यादा चिड़चिड़ी होती जा रही है।)

PEEVISH (पीविश)

• Due to the jetlag, she is a tad tetchy today.(विमान यात्रा से हुई थकान के कारण वह आज थोड़ी चिड़चिड़ी है।)

SOREHEAD (सोर-हेड)
• Don't be such a sore head - it was only a joke. (इतने चिड़चिड़े मत बनो - यह केवल एक मज़ाक था।)
