TO POLISH THE APPLE - to flatter (चापलूसी करना)
• If you want the manager to like you, you will have to polish the apple. (अगर तुम चाहते हो की मैनेजर तुम्हे पसंद करे तो तुम्हे उसकी चापलूसी करनी पड़ेगी।)
APPLE OF ONE’S EYE - something or someone very precious or dear (आँख का तारा)
• Sam's new baby girl has become the apple of his eye. (सैम की नवजात बच्ची उसकी आँख का तारा बन गई है।)
