As alike as two peas (एक समान) - The twins are as alike as two peas.

As cheap as dirt (धूल की तरह सस्ता) - Nowadays green vegetables are as cheap as dirt.

As clumsy as a bear (भालू की तरह बेडौल) - Arjun Kapoor was as clumsy as a bear in his childhood.

As blind as a bat (एकदम अँधा/ चमगादड़ की तरह) - He turned his face after seeing me as though he was as blind as bat.

Called As या Called - Called As का प्रयोग करना अनुचित है, इसकी जगह Known as का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है। जैसे - Sachin is called the God of Cricket. बोलना सही है परन्तु Sachin is called as the God of Cricket गलत इंग्लिश है। इसकी जगह पर Sachin is known as the God of Cricket बोलना सही है।

Many a times या Many times - "A" एक singular indefinite article है जबकि "times" plural है। दोनों का प्रयोग एक साथ नहीं हो सकता अतः Many a times गलत शब्द है। हो सकता है हम बोलचाल की शैली (colloquialism) में इसका प्रयोग करते हो या हमने ये शब्द सुना हो, फिर भी preferable है कि इसका प्रयोग ना करें। Many a time (जिसका अर्थ है often; frequently - अक्सर) और Many times (बहुत बार) सही है।

An year या A year - वैसे तो "y" semi-vowel है (The letter "y" can function either as a vowel or a consonant) पर यहाँ year में इसका उच्चारण एक consonant की तरह हो रहा है। इसलिए A year सही शब्द है।

Reply Back या Reply - Reply के बाद back” का प्रयोग अनावश्यक है क्यूंकि “reply” का अर्थ ही उत्तर देना होता है। It already conveys the idea of getting back to someone. इसी तरह से Answer back भी एक गलत phrase है।

Anyways या Anyway - ये दोनों शब्द ही adverb है।“Anyway” without an S is correct. Anyway का अर्थ ‘ in any case’ होता है। कई बार यह मान  लिया जाता है कि Anyways - Anyway का plural form है। पर यह गलत है क्यूंकि adverbs के plural नहीं होते। Anyways is widely considered incorrect and is not standard English usage. लिखते समय Anyways का प्रयोग करना गलत है, इसे एक slang शब्द माना जा सकता है।

Alot या A Lot - वैसे आजकल Internet commenting और text messaging में Alot प्रायः देखने को मिलता है पर असल में ये कोई शब्द नहीं है। "A lot" एक noun phrase है जो adjective की तरह कार्य करता है। A lot का प्रयोग किसी की मात्रा बताने के लिए होता है।

Married with या Married to - Married to का प्रयोग English grammar में सही माना गया है। इसलिए I am married to a cricketer. (married + to - used to refer to the person you are married) ना कि I am married with a cricketer. (married + with - used to refer to the number of children - as in - He is married with two children.)

Data is या Data are - The word data is a plural noun so "Data are". Datum (rarely used) is the singular.

No Ways या No Way - ये भी adverb है और No Way सही शब्द है। No Ways - No Way का ही दूसरा रूप है।

As a noun:

physical activity that you do to make your body strong and healthy (HEALTHY ACTIVITY - कसरत/ व्यायाम)

Swimming is my favourite form of exercise. (तैराकी मेरा पसंदीदा व्यायाम है।)

Walking is a good exercise. (चलना अच्छा व्यायाम है।)

an action or actions intended to improve something or make something happen (PRACTICE - अभ्यास)

The book has exercises at the end of every chapter. (पुस्तक के प्रत्येक अध्याय के अंत में अभ्यास है।)

It would be a useful exercise for you to say the speech aloud several times. (आपके लिए भाषण देने के लिए कई बार ज़ोर से बोलना एक उपयोगी अभ्यास होगा।)

the use of something (इस्तेमाल/ प्रयोग)

The exercise of restraint may well be difficult. (संयम का इस्तेमाल शायद मुश्किल हो सकता है।)

As a verb:

to do physical activities to make your body strong and healthy (व्यायाम करना)

She exercises most evenings usually by running. (वह आम तौर पर दौड़ कर ज्यादातर शाम को व्यायाम करती है।)

Eat healthily and exercise regularly. (स्वस्थ भोजन करें और नियमित रूप से व्यायाम करें।)

use or apply (a faculty, right, or process) (प्रयोग में लाना/ इस्तेमाल करना)

The United Nations has exercised its authority to restore peace in the area. (संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने इस क्षेत्र में शांति बहाल करने के लिए अपने अधिकार का प्रयोग किया है।)

The court is not exercising jurisdiction over the merits of the dispute. (न्यायालय विवाद के गुणों के ऊपर अधिकार क्षेत्र का प्रयोग नहीं कर रहा है।)
