WRITE OFF

Meaning: To treat like or decide that someone or something is not important or significant. (यह तय कर लेना कि कोई व्यक्ति या वस्तु महत्वपूर्ण नहीं है। )

When you write someone or something off, you are actually belittling its value.
किसी परेशानी या किसी प्रकार की कमी के कारण व्यक्ति या वस्तु की अहमियत को कम कर देना ही 'write off' का अर्थ है। 

Uses:

•  Most critics wrote him off as a petty artist until he received a national award.
(अधिकांश समीक्षकों ने उसे एक तुच्छ कलाकार समझा, जब तक कि उसे एक राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार नहीं मिल गया।)

• A lot of parents tend to write creativity off as a successful career option.
(बहुत सारे अभिभावक रचनात्मकता को एक सफल कैरियर विकल्प के रूप में महत्तवता नही देते हैं ।)

Prefix वह शब्द है जो किसी अन्य शब्द के आगे लगाया जाता है। यह उस शब्द का अर्थ बदल देता है। आज हम Andro Prefix के बारे में जानते हैं।

Andro शब्द Greek के andros (man) से लिया गया है और किसी में masculine या male को सूचित करता है। जैसे -
andranatomy – the dissection or structure of the male body

androcentric – regarding men as being primary or central

androcephalic – having a man’s head upon an animal’s body

androcracy – political rule by men

androgynous – having both male and female characteristics; also applies in botany. Don’t confuse this with androgenous, a biological term which means producing male offspring only

android – a robot that looks like a human

andrology – the study of diseases that affect men (sometimes called andriatry or andriatics)

andromorphous – having a man’s shape

androsterone – a steroid hormone produced by men 

A speech at the beginning of the play, book or film that introduces it → Prologue (प्रस्तावना/ नाटक का आरंभ)
Conversation in a book, play or a movie → Dialogue (वार्तालाप/ बातचीत)
A speech at the end of the play, book or film that comments on and acts as a conclusion to what has happened → Epilogue (उपसंहार)
A long speech by one person during the conversation that stops other people from speaking or expressing an opinion → Monologue (आत्मभाषण/ एकलाप)
A summary of a written work; an abstract → Epitome (निष्कर्ष)
A book in which events of each day are recorded → Diary (डायरी)
A book of names and address →Directory (डायरेक्टरी/ निदेशिका)
A book containing a knowledge of all branches of knowledge →Encyclopedia (विश्वकोश)
