Plot

Noun:

secret plan (साजिश/ गुप्त योजना) - The terrorist plot was thwarted. (आतंकवादी साजिश नाकाम कर दी गई।)

main events of a play or piece of writing (कथानक/ कथावस्तु) - The plot of that movie was not so effective. (उस फिल्म का कथानक बहुत प्रभावी नहीं था।)

small piece of land set aside for something (भूखंड) - We recently bought a plot near Juhu beach. (हमने हाल ही में जुहू समुद्र तट के पास एक भूखंड खरीदा।)

Verb:

to make secret plans (षड्यंत्र रचना) - I caught them plotting against the superintendent. (मैंने उन्हें अधीक्षक के खिलाफ षड्यंत्र रचते हुए पकड़ा।)

to mark on chart (नक्शा तैयार करना) - I plotted the data on this graph. (मैंने इस ग्राफ पर डेटा का नक्शा तैयार किया।)

benefit (noun) फायदा/ लाभ :You should enjoy the benefits of being a member. (आपको एक सदस्य होने के लाभों का आनंद उठाना चाहिए।)

Synonyms:

profit - No one can guarantee a profit on stocks and shares. (कोई भी स्टॉक और शेयरों पर एक लाभ की गारंटी नहीं देता है।)

gain  - His gain from the deal was negligible. (इस समझौते से उसका लाभ नगण्य था।)

advantage - He was taking advantage of his post. (वह अपने पद का लाभ ले रहा था।)

avail - He begged her to reconsider, but to no avail. (उसने उससे पुनर्विचार करने की विनती की, लेकिन कोई फायदा नहीं हुआ।)

mileage - He was getting lot of mileage out of this friendship. (उसे इस दोस्ती से बहुत लाभ हो रहा था।)

behoof - Government should make laws for the behoof of the country. (सरकार देश के फ़ायदे के लिए कानून बनाना चाहिए।)
