FINE

जुर्माना
• Fine of 50 Rs imposed on him. (उस पर 50 रु का जुर्माना लगाया गया।)

ठीक-ठीक 
• My day was fine. (मेरा दिन ठीक-ठीक रहा।)

अच्छा
• You are looking fine. (आप अच्छे दिख रहे हैं।)

कोमल /बेहतर quality का 
• This cloth material is very fine. (इस कपड़े का मटेरियल बहुत कोमल/बेहतर क्वालिटी का है।)

तेज /नुकीला
• I sharpened the pencil tip into a fine point. (मैंने पेंसिल टिप को छीलकर तेज/ नुकीला बना दिया।)

संतोषजनक
• The weather this year has been fine so far. (मौसम इस साल अब तक संतोषजनक रहा है।)

बहुत कम अन्तर होना
• There is only a fine difference between the properties of the two elements. (इन दो तत्वों के गुणों के बीच बहुत ही कम अन्तर अंतर है।)

LATCHKEY CHILD- जो बच्चा जो दिन के कुछ भाग के लिए बिना adult supervision के घर पर अकेला (home alone) होता है, खासकर स्कूल के बाद जब तक उसके माता-पिता काम से वापस नहीं आ जाते हैं।

LOVE CHILD - Unmarried parents के बच्चे को love child कहा जाता है।

PROBLEM CHILD - ऐसा बच्चा जिसका व्यवहार खुद को और दूसरों के लिए कठिनाइयों का कारण बनता है।

POSTER CHILD - एक व्यक्ति (आमतौर पर एक वयस्क, कोई बच्चा नहीं) जो एक विशिष्ट गुणवत्ता, कारण, आदि का प्रतीक व आदर्श उदाहरण हो।

BOOMERANG CHILD - एक युवा वयस्क जो एक बार अपने माता-पिता का घर छोड़ने के बाद financial problems के कारण फिर से उनके साथ उन्ही के घर में रहना शुरू कर दे।
This is more popular in western culture where children tend to leave their parental home after a certain age in order to become independent.
