Peace (noun)

अमन/ शान्ति (absence of war or violence)

We should live together in peace with one another. (हमें एक दूसरे के साथ शांति में एक साथ रहना चाहिए।)

After years of fighting, people longed for peace. (लड़ाई के वर्षों के बाद, लोगों को शांति के लिए इंतज़ार।)

They lived in peace together. (वे एक साथ शांति से रहते थे।)

समझौता/ संधि (Treaty ending a war)

Peace was signed between Iraq and US after the war. (इराक और अमेरिका के बीच युद्ध के बाद संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए थे।)

सुकून/ ख़ामोशी (State of calm or quiet)

I just want to live in peace. (मैं सिर्फ सुकून से जीना चाहता हूँ।)

Piece (noun)

भाग/ हिस्सा/  टुकड़ा (a portion of an object)

This table is made of five pieces. (यह टेबल पांच हिस्सों से बना है।)

He lost one of the pieces of his model. (उसने अपने मॉडल के टुकड़े में से एक को खो दिया।)

He tore the paper into many pieces. (उसने कई भागों में कागज फाड़ दिया।)

One-way (ticket) - One-way ticket का मतलब है कि आप अपने destination (गंतव्य स्थान) से वापिस नहीं आ रहे।

Return-ticket - One-way ticket का opposite return ticket होता है। अर्थात आप अपने destination से वापिस आ रहे हैं।

Round-trip ticket - जब आप आने - जाने दोनों तरफ का ticket एक साथ लेते हैं तो उसे round-trip ticket कहते हैं।

Stopover (layover) - जब आप लंबी दूरी की यात्रा करते हैं तो flight अपने destination (गंतव्य स्थान) से पहले अन्य country/ city में थोड़ी देर के लिए रुकती है। उस stop को stopover या layover कहा जाता है।

Customs - जब आप किसी और देश में जाते हैं तो आपको सबसे पहले customs department में जा कर customs officer से मिलना होता है। यहाँ पर वे check करते है कि आप कही illegal चीज़ें तो नहीं लाये हैं।

Delayed - अगर आपकी flight निश्चित समय से देरी से उड़ान भर रही है तो उसे delayed कहते हैं।

Departure lounge - जहाँ से आप flight की ओर यात्रा करने के लिए जाते हैं या flight के लिए wait करते हैं, उस स्थान को Departure lounge कहते हैं।

Economy class - अधिकांश लोग plane में economy class में सफर करते हैं। The price is much cheaper than business class and First class.

Fragile - कुछ चीज़ें ऐसी होती है जो यात्रा करते समय दूट सकती है। ऐसी वस्तुओं पर Fragile (नाज़ुक) का sticker लगा दिया जाता है। इन वस्तुओं को अधिक सावधानी से रखा जाता है।

Liquids - Liquids कोई भी तरल पदार्थ हो सकता है जैसे पानी, perfume आदि। All airports do not allow passengers to travel with more than 100ml of liquids.

Visa - दूसरे देश में जाने के लिए हमें वीज़ा की आवश्यकता होती है। A visa is a special document that gives you permission to enter a country.

Airline - जिस airline या carrier से आप सफ़र कर रहे हैं वह वास्तव में उस company का नाम है। जैसे - Indian Airlines, Jet Airlines etc.

Arrivals -  जब plane airport पर आता है, तो उसे arrivals कहते हैं। ign to tell you I’m looking for you.

Board - To board (a plane) का अर्थ है to go onto it (plane में जाना)

Boarding pass -  जब आप airport पर पहुँच कर अपने सामान की जांच करवा लेते हैं तो आपको boarding pass दिया जाता है जिसमें उस plane की information होती है जिसमें आपको सफर करना है और आपका seat number, gate number भी दिया जाता है।

Boarding time - वह समय जब आप plane के अंदर जाना शुरू करते हैं, boarding time कहलाता है।

Book (a ticket) - Book a ticket मतलब अपने अपनी सीट आरक्षित कर ली है और उसका भुगतान भी कर लिया है।

Business class - यह plane के अंदर शुरुआत में ही होती है।  इसकी tickets सामान्य tickets से थोड़ी महंगी होती है।

Carry on (luggage) - Carry on luggage सामान है जो आप हाथ में ले जाते हैं। यह एक limited size and weight का होता है।

Check in - Check in का अर्थ है कि आप airline सूचित कर रहे हैं कि आप पहुँच चुके हैं। वे आपको boarding pass देंगे।

Conveyor belt/ carousel/ baggage claim -  जो समान आपने airline को boarding pass लेते समय जमा करवाया था, वह उतरने पर आपको एक moving conveyor belt पर मिलता है। इसे carousel or baggage claim भी कहा जाता है।

Oversized baggage/ Overweight baggage - प्रत्येक यात्री को सिर्फ 20kg तक का सामान ले जाने की ही अनमुति है (carry on luggage के अलावा). उससे अधिक होने पर वह Oversized baggage/Overweight baggage में आता है जिसके लिए व्यक्ति को अधिक charge देना होता है।
